R&D Engineer

Kii Audio is a manufacturer of high-performance loudspeakers for the home and professional (studio) market.

We are looking for a new employee to take part in the whole design cycle of new loudspeakers and associated products, from the product definition stage through design, verification, compliance testing and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Depending on the skill set of the selected candidate they will be able to take a supporting or a leading role in this process.
The work place is 46499 Hamminkeln, Germany. For the sake of the efficient operation as a team, we work normal office hours. Education M.Sc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent by experience.
Required skills: Design for manufacture, Analogue design and PCB layout, Digital design and PCB layout EMC, Ability to write well structured and maintainable C/C++ code, Octave/MATLAB
Bonus points: Signal theory and control theory Acoustics, Assembly language Linux programming and maintenance, 3D CAD design.
Being unbelievably good at one or more of the above items.
A history in audio, DIY or professionally
Language skills
Proficiency in English required

R&D / Service Engineer

Kii Audio is a recently formed manufacturer of high-performance loudspeakers for the home and professional (studio) market. Our existing products are continuously evolving and new products are being developed which need to be tested thoroughly to become mature.

We are looking for an employee to take part in these processes by means of:
- Troubleshooting manufacturing issues
- Examining and fixing malfunctioning products in and from the field
- Setup and design of test fixtures and custom tools
- Extending functionality for existing designs (hard/software)
Depending on the skill set of the selected candidate they will be able to take a supporting or a leading role in this process.

The work place is 46499 Hamminkeln, Germany.
For the sake of the efficient operation as a team, we work normal office hours.
Education: Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent by experience
Required skills: Competent at small scale mechanical and soldering work - Perform diagnostics and organize your workspace autonomously - Design for manufacture.
Bonus points: Analogue/Digital design and PCB layout, EMC Ability to write well structured and maintainable C/C++ code Linux, programming and maintenance, 3D CAD design. Being unbelievably good at one or more of the above items.
